MIRAMICHI, N.B. – It was back to the cross-country ski club here this past weekend, as the Miramichi River Runners hosted their second cross country 5K race of the month on Sunday, Oct. 29.
This race drew 38 participants, four more than the previous race on Oct. 15, where Sylvain Arseneau and Amy Barrieau locked up the series point race for the club.
In the recent race, it was Miramichi’s own Laura Dickinson running away with top prize, finishing with a time of 19:02.
“Yesterday’s event was great,” said Dickinson. “The goal was just to have fun. I love going out to River Runner races. Everyone is so supportive and there is always lots of energy!”
